According to the executive, job vacancies have been opened in the operations and administration sectors, and those interested can apply on the company’s website or by delivering a resume in person at the HR department. Dairy Industry Creates Opportunities for the People of Espírito Santo
The director also highlighted that of all the job vacancies offered so far, a large portion was provided to the ES community. According to the executive, the company trained the team on-site, and only two or three are not from the state.
The remaining employees are residents of Rio Novo or the surrounding area, trained and qualified on-site. In addition to creating direct job vacancies, the arrival of the dairy factory also generates income for milk producers who are free to sell their milk to Porto Alegre.
Currently, Laticínios Porto Alegre has a network of milk collection that includes 400 producers, providing about 100,000 liters of product per day. The director states that they already have producers supplying milk to the company and that they are working to increase production. So far, they have producers from the South of ES, but there are opportunities to acquire producers from the North of the State.
Investment of R$ 60 Million
The investment for the inauguration of this first phase of the unit in ES was R$ 60 million and it will cover 9,000 m² of built area. The factory will also function as a distribution point for all the brand’s products in the region and will have a store with products straight from the factory.
Currently, the company has five industrial units, one in ES, one in Rio de Janeiro, and three more in Minas Gerais. Carneiro states that Porto Alegre is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021 and that this project was a dream for the company, which wanted a unit in Espírito Santo.
This was a collaboration with the city hall and the local government. The director asserts that his goal is to enhance milk production in this region, which is one of the most important economic activities for the state.
