Located in São Miguel do Araguaia, in the State of Goiás, Nova Piratininga was founded in 2010 and is already one of the largest rural properties in the country. With 135,000 hectares, it surpasses the famous Fazenda Roncador in size. To give you an idea, Nova Piratininga has a single registration for all of its land, a rare feat in Brazil.

Nova Piratininga began with the acquisition of land from businessman Wagner Canhedo by three entrepreneurs from Goiás: João Alves de Queiroz Filho, Marcelo Limírio Gonçalves Filho, and Igor Nogueira Alves de Melo. The purchase, made for R$ 310 million in 2010, is now valued at around R$ 3 billion just five years later.

High-Quality Livestock

The farm is an example of modernization and efficiency in livestock farming. With 95,000 hectares of pasture, it houses a herd of 105,000 pure or crossbred Nelore cattle with Angus. This herd undergoes rigorous selection and genetic improvement processes, aiming to double in size in the next five years.

The infrastructure of Nova Piratininga is breathtaking: there are over 970 km of internal roads, 10.6 billion liters of water storage capacity, and a village with more than 600 residents. The farm has schools, workshops, an airport, churches, and even health services, including dental consultations.

The farm is managed by Igor Nogueira Alves de Melo, who brought his experience and knowledge to modernize the property. Since its acquisition, the farm has undergone various improvements in management and infrastructure, always focusing on sustainability and high-quality production.

Comparison with Fazenda Roncador

The direct competitor of Nova Piratininga is Fazenda Roncador, with 152,000 hectares. However, there are controversies regarding whether all of its land is registered under a single registration. Meanwhile, Nova Piratininga remains strong with its unique registration, keeping its title among the largest in Brazil.
