The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) has opened applications for the selection of on-site tutors for the Specialization Course in Literacy and Reading, offering a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,100.00 with no application fee.

With six vacancies available and a reserve list, the selection process is an opportunity for education professionals who wish to work directly in teacher training, with applications open until May 21, 2025.

The role of on-site tutor involves monitoring and mediating educational activities, assisting the teacher during classes, supporting students in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), and participating in training meetings.

Requirements and Selection

Candidates must have a degree in Pedagogy or Teaching, preferably with experience in basic education, which will be considered a differential in the selection process.

The selection will be based on document analysis, evaluating academic education and professional experience, requiring a minimum score of 60 points for approval.

In addition to open competition, the announcement provides for reserved vacancies for blacks, browns, indigenous people, and persons with disabilities, reinforcing UFMG’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The preliminary result of the selection is expected to be announced on June 3, 2025, with a deadline for appeals until June 8.
