The Secretary of Public Security of Ceará, Samuel Elânio, revealed the confirmation of a new public competition for the Civil Police. The statement was made in the context of another selection process for the Fire Department. He highlighted the importance of bolstering the workforce to advance investigations and preventive actions against crime in the state.

By the way, the Governor of Ceará, Elmano de Freitas, had indeed previously anticipated the conduct of the selection process, even allocating some credit to organize the board. Furthermore, a special commission was established to handle the necessary bureaucracies in the public competition application, which will include the positions of Delegate, Clerk, and Inspector.

How Was the Last Public Competition for Civil Police in Ceará?

The confirmation of the new notice was reiterated by the governor during a live transmission on social media; he emphasized the focus on opening vacancies for the career of Civil Police Delegate. In the last notice for 1st Class PC Delegate, which occurred in 2014, the initial salary was R$ 16,319.60. In 2021, a notice was issued for Inspector and Clerk, with 500 immediate vacancies and 1,000 in the reserve list. Organized by the IDECAN, the public competition required a higher education degree and offered initial salaries of R$ 3,732.86 at that time.

Now, the next notice of the selection process will follow the same structure as the last selection process, with objective and discursive written tests, physical fitness test, psychological evaluation, toxicological examination, and professional training course.
