New Brazilian Mini SUV Will Arrive Soon to Replace the Renegade. Meet the New JEEP SUV That Promises Great Performance and Cutting-Edge Technology Embedded.
At the beginning of 2023, Jeep Brazil had discarded the introduction of the Avenger in the country, as its market positioning would be very close to that of the Renegade. However, this year, Stellantis announced that the Renegade will not receive a new generation. As a result, the Avenger, the new mini SUV from Jeep, reemerges as the brand’s main bet for the entry-level segment in Brazil, taking the place of the Renegade.
New JEEP Mini SUV Is Being Developed on the Same Platform as the Peugeot 208
The new JEEP Avenger is so good that it won the 2023 Car of the Year in Europe award, which is very important and highly contested among numerous other vehicles from various brands, even Premium ones.
Developed on the same platform as the Peugeot 208, the new Brazilian mini SUV Avenger is almost a sibling of the new second generation of the 2008, sharing several components with the French model, which will also be launched here later this year.

In dimensions, the new JEEP mini SUV is noticeably smaller than the Renegade. It measures 4.8 m in length, 2.56 m in wheelbase, 1.77 m in width, 1.53 m in height, weighing a lightweight 1243 kg and it also accommodates 380 L of luggage in the trunk.
Aesthetically, the Brazilian mini SUV showcases the new identity of the manufacturer, which is much more modern and futuristic. In the front, it features a grille with seven slots and all Black Piano finishes, a gray trim on the bumper, and full LED headlights. On the sides, it has two-tone paint and wheels that can be 16 or 18 inches depending on the version. Moving to the rear, the car brings an integrated spoiler, gray trim on the bumper, and full LED taillights.
New Brazilian Mini SUV Delivers Fuel Consumption of 12.9 km/l
Talking a bit about the engine, here, the new JEEP mini SUV will only use the well-known 1.0 three-cylinder turboflex engine from Stellantis, which is currently found in the Fastbacks, Pulse, and Strada. We also have it in the Peugeot 208, the new Citroen C3 Aircross, and other entry-level segment models. In fact, it will also equip the simpler versions of the new 2008 arriving this year.
The 1.0 Turbo features direct fuel injection and is Flex, generating 130 horsepower and a solid 20.4 kgfm of torque, always paired with a CVT automatic transmission that simulates up to seven gears with front-wheel drive.
As the Avenger is a lightweight JEEP SUV, the performance will be among the best in the segment, and the fuel efficiency figures should also be pleasing. This will be one of the first national JEEP’s that will only have front-wheel drive options, but abroad it also has all-wheel drive options. It is worth mentioning that it does 11 km/l in the city and 12.9 km/l on the highway.
When Will It Arrive in Brazil?
There is still no release date for the model in Brazil. Stellantis is currently in the study phase. After all, selling the Avenger in the country will require local production to ensure volume. Thus, a groundbreaking hybrid flex version of the Renegade seems more plausible since the SUV is made in Goiana (PE). However, the multinational has not ruled out a future launch for Brazil!
New JEEP Mini SUV Features Interior Different from Its ‘Siblings’
In the interior, unlike the Compass and Renegade, which are cars full of visually distinct elements focused on off-road for the Renegade and luxury for the Compass, the new Brazilian mini SUV is much more minimalist.
The finish of the European model is good and brings quality materials in the dashboard and doors, something that may be simplified when the model arrives here. The interior space of the new JEEP SUV comfortably accommodates four adults and a child.
In terms of equipment, we have features like wireless phone charging, keyless entry, remote start, button gear selector, LEDs scattered throughout the cabin, electronic parking brake, driving mode selector, multifunctional steering wheel, fully configurable 10-inch digital display, and much more.
The multimedia center is one of the biggest highlights of the new Brazilian mini SUV, and it also features a 10-inch screen. It includes a rearview camera, integrated GPS, wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and much more.
