Nissan Is Preparing a Masterstroke in the Compact SUV Segment. The Kicks, Already a Familiar Sight on Brazilian Streets, Is About to Gain a New Generation That Promises to Leave Rivals like T-Cross and Creta in the Dust.
The Kicks, which is already a favorite of Nissan here, held the brand together during the pandemic and is now ready for more.
With seven years on the road, the current generation, which debuted at the 2016 Olympics, will pass the baton to a more modern and bold successor.
The new Kicks, currently undergoing tests in Brazil, will feature a CMF-B platform, the same as its European cousin, the Renault Captur.

The big mechanical news is the 1.0 Turbo engine with direct injection, flex fuel, and an eight-speed simulated CVT, promising a peppier performance without sacrificing efficiency.
For those more tuned in to sustainability, a hybrid version is also in Nissan‘s plans. The interior of the Kicks will receive a makeover, featuring leather and soft-touch finishes, as well as a 10-inch digital display.
In terms of equipment, the SUV will not disappoint, with cutting-edge features ranging from electronic parking brake to Premium sound system from Bose.
In Terms of Safety, the New Kicks Will Raise the Bar
Bringing driver assistance technologies ranging from adaptive cruise control to lane departure warning, placing the Nissan SUV at the top of the category when it comes to protecting its occupants.
The new generation of the Kicks will start being manufactured in Brazil next year, with a launch expected in the first quarter of 2024.
With prices expected to range between R$ 130,000 and R$ 170,000, the new Kicks will arrive as a more affordable option compared to the new HR-V, without neglecting the quality and performance that the Brazilian consumer expects.
