Best-selling SUVs of June show Volkswagen’s strength
June’s leadership was marked by the presence of three Volkswagen models within the top 5. Besides T-Cross and Tera in the first two positions, the Nivus appeared in fifth place, with 4,545 units licensed.
This performance shows that the brand managed to occupy different ranges within the segment. The T-Cross took the overall lead, the Tera confirmed a good result after its launch, and the Nivus completed the manufacturer’s presence among the most sought-after models.

In total, just between T-Cross and Tera, there were 21,042 vehicles registered in the month. The number helps explain why Volkswagen ended June in a prominent position among the sports utility vehicles sold in the country.
Ranking of the Best-Selling SUVs of June 2026
The list of best-selling SUVs in June was led by the T-Cross, but the difference between some models in the rest of the top 10 was tight. Jeep Renegade and Chevrolet Tracker, for example, finished separated by only 43 units.

| 1st | Volkswagen T-Cross | 11,753 |

About the T-Cross
The Volkswagen T-Cross 2026 is offered in five versions and a special series. The range includes 1.0 200 TSI Sense, 1.0 200 TSI, 1.0 200 TSI Comfortline, 1.4 250 TSI Highline, and 1.4 250 TSI Extreme, in addition to the optional Selection series package for the Sense.
The 2026 lineup brought changes in lighting and finishing. From the 200 TSI version, the SUV now features connected LED taillights, while the Highline and Extreme configurations received full-LED headlights interconnected at the front.

In terms of visuals, the model maintains the compact SUV proposal with a more generous internal size. The T-Cross uses the MQB platform and, according to the data provided, measures 4,218 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 2,651 mm in wheelbase.
TSI Engines Remain a Technical Highlight of the T-Cross
The Sense, 200 TSI, and Comfortline versions use a 1.0 turbo flex engine. This setup delivers 128 hp and 20.4 kgfm, always combined with the AISIN six-speed automatic transmission.

In the higher configurations, Highline and Extreme, the T-Cross switches to a 1.4 turbo flex engine, with a power of 150 hp. The six-speed automatic transmission also appears in these versions, maintaining the same transmission proposal throughout the line.
T-Cross consumption varies according to the engine
The T-Cross 200 TSI records different averages between city and highway. With ethanol, the reported consumption is 8.5 km/l in urban cycle and 10.2 km/l on the highway; with gasoline, the numbers rise to 12.1 km/l and 14.5 km/l, respectively.
In the T-Cross 250 TSI, the data is slightly lower. The version achieves 8.2 km/l in the city and 9.9 km/l on the highway with ethanol, while with gasoline it records 11.8 km/l in urban routes and 14.2 km/l in road use.
Interior space helps the T-Cross in the segment
The T-Cross is not among the largest in length, but the 2,651 mm wheelbase favors interior space. The extended base used in the model is the same applied to the Virtus, according to the information provided.

The trunk starts at 373 liters, but can reach 420 liters with the sliding rear seat. This solution expands the luggage area, although it reduces part of the space intended for second-row passengers.
Even with this modularity, the maximum reported volume is below some competitors. Hyundai Creta, Honda WR-V, the new generation of Nissan Kicks, and Renault Duster appear with higher capacities.
T-Cross safety includes six airbags in all versions
The MQB platform is also associated with structural reinforcements and active and passive safety technologies. In all versions, the T-Cross comes with six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, and cruise control.
Starting from the 200 TSI version, the package includes autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. These features expand the list of assistance available in Volkswagen’s compact SUV.
This combination of space, equipment, and turbo engines helps explain the model’s presence at the top of the best-selling SUVs in June. The result of 11,753 registrations placed the T-Cross ahead of all competitors for the month.
Best-selling SUVs of June reinforce the segment’s weight in Brazil
The best-selling SUVs of June 2026 show a segment concentrated in high-volume models and strong competition among traditional brands. Volkswagen stood out by placing T-Cross and Tera in the top two positions, along with the Nivus in the top 5.
