The Lula Field Is About to Reach 1 Million Barrels of Oil Produced Per Day, Needing Only FPSO P-67 to Be Among the Top 3 Producers in the World
The largest oil-producing field in Brazil is approaching a significant milestone: Soon it will be producing 1 million barrels of oil per day, relying solely on the successful allocation of FPSO P-67 to reach this mark. The field already has 8 FPSOs interconnected to 41 wells that last December produced about 900,000 bpd of high-quality surplus oil.
The challenges have been and still are immense, but Brazil has great potential to return to being one of the largest oil producers in the world.

Currently, there are a total of 8 FPSOs and 41 interconnected wells. “They are studying an additional FPSO in West Lula. It will be the third-largest oil-producing well in the world after the Permian in the USA and the largest oil well in Saudi Arabia,” states Heleno Guimarães Carvalho, a professional in the administration field at Petrobras.
