Produced in the Serra da Mantiqueira, Brazilian Olive Oil Reaches the Top of the Global Ranking and Reinforces the Country’s Prestige in the International Scenario
The Koroneiki olive oil, from the Brazilian brand Azeite Sabiá, was elected the best in the world in the medium fruity category by the international guide Flos Olei 2025.
Produced in Santo Antônio do Pinhal, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, in the interior of São Paulo, the olive oil stood out among several evaluated brands. The production is led by the couple Bia Pereira and Bob Costa, former minister of Fernando Henrique Cardoso’s government.
The award was announced this week, with the release of the official list of the best olive oils in the world. Sabiá was the highest-ranked Brazilian label and won the top title in its category.

The Flos Olei guide is organized by international critic Marco Oreggia and evaluates olive oils from around the world. The process includes technical tastings conducted by experts, who assign scores after various analysis stages.
Each year, the guide publishes a selection of the highest-rated olive oils. In the 2025 edition, several Brazilian labels were included, but the highlight was the Koroneiki from Azeite Sabiá.
The choice reinforces Brazil’s growing presence in the international market for quality olive oils.
The Flos Olei evaluation is considered one of the most respected in the industry and serves as a reference for producers and consumers.
The Sabiá brand celebrated the recognition and highlighted the importance of the Serra da Mantiqueira in the production of award-winning olive oils.
