Oil States Brazil Signed Contract With Petrobras for Submarine Monitoring Services and Sensor Installation, With Investments Exceeding R$ 68 Million.
This week, Oil States Brazil confirmed the signing of two unprecedented contracts with Petrobras, totaling more than R$ 68 million. Set to begin in 2025, the agreements signify a significant advancement for the company in the national market. The contracts involve specialized services for monitoring and maintaining sensors in oil wells, both onshore and offshore.
Monitoring of PDG Sensors Will Be Focus of Contract Valid Until 2029
With a duration until 2029, one of the contracts signed provides for the installation, removal, and maintenance of the so-called Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDG), sensors responsible for measuring pressure and temperature in oil and gas wells.
Moreover, the company will conduct tests, operational planning, and maintenance of equipment and accessories, including the so-called flatpacks — devices that assist in communicating the collected data.

Technical Agreement Includes Electrical Systems and Submarine Sensors
Another contract, which extends until 2028, encompasses specialized technical services in operation and maintenance of electrical systems for monitoring submarine sensors.
The scope includes operations both offshore and onshore, involving monitoring of downhole sensors, Xmas trees, topside control systems, and electrical interface equipment.
Investments Strengthen the Company’s Role in the National Market
This is the first time that the company takes on these services in the country, marking an important step to expand its presence in the Brazilian underwater intervention systems market.
