Available Free Technical Courses
The slots are distributed between the Vitória and Serra campuses, with options in different areas:
- Vitória Campus
- Technical Course in Tourism Guide (evening, 3.5 years)
- Technical Course in Hospitality (evening, 3.5 years)
- Technical Course in Metallurgy (evening, 4 years)
- Technical Course in Occupational Safety (afternoon, 4 years)
- Serra Campus
- Professional Qualification in Low Voltage Building Installer Electrician (evening, 2 years)
Each course offers 40 slots, half of which are reserved for the quota system established by federal law.
Slots and Quota System
The announcement 73/2025 stipulates that 50% of the slots are to be allocated to low-income candidates who self-declare as black, brown, indigenous, quilombolas, and persons with disabilities. This rule aims to ensure greater inclusion and diversity in access to education.
To validate registration as a quota student, it will be necessary to present documentation and, in some cases, undergo hetero-identification interviews. The organizing committee states that “the process aims to be as transparent and inclusive as possible, ensuring equal opportunities.”
How Selection Will Be Made
The selection will be by electronic lottery, held at the Vitória Campus, with the oversight of staff and witnesses. After the lottery, those approved must present the required documentation to secure enrollment.
It is important to remember: those opting for quotas must prove the declared conditions, under penalty of losing the slot. The process is free, and the certificate issued by IFES will have national validity, significantly increasing employability chances.
Requirements to Participate
To compete for the slots, the candidate must:
- Be 18 years or older by the start of classes.
- Have completed Elementary School.
- Not have finished High School.
Additionally, since the courses are in-person, it is necessary to be available to attend classes at the scheduled times for each campus.
