Patrícia Poloni Meneghetti, Electrical Engineer Graduated from Unioeste, Becomes the First Woman in Brazil to Obtain Certification from Tesla. Her Journey Highlights the Importance of Education and Innovation in the Energy Sector.
The Paranaense electrical engineer Patrícia Poloni Meneghetti made history by becoming the first woman in Brazil to be certified by Tesla, an American company globally recognized for its technological innovations. Patrícia, who holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste), Foz do Iguaçu campus, now plays a crucial role in the operations, installations, and maintenance of Tesla’s advanced energy storage systems in Brazil.
Patrícia’s journey in the energy sector began during her master’s program, where she dedicated herself to the study of energy microgrids. This work was fundamental for her to obtain her first professional opportunity at the International Renewable Energy Center (Cibiogás), located at Itaipu Parquetec, in Foz do Iguaçu. During this phase, Patrícia was able to apply her knowledge and stand out in a highly specialized and expanding field.
Golden Opportunity at Tesla
After completing her master’s degree, Patrícia was discovered by Micropower Energy, a company specializing in energy storage systems, which took an interest in the innovative work she was doing with energy microgrids. The company, which is the only one in Brazil certified by Tesla to operate its storage systems, offered Patrícia the chance to join its team. Today, she leads all of the company’s energy microgrid projects, consolidating her position as a reference in the sector.

Certification from Tesla: A Milestone in Her Career
To obtain the coveted certification from Tesla, Patrícia underwent a rigorous ten-day training at Tesla’s training center located in California, USA. This training not only solidified her expertise but also opened new doors for her career. “The master’s was the gateway for me to all the opportunities I have had to be in the job market today,” said Patrícia. She emphasizes the importance of her master’s degree from Unioeste in her professional development and encourages others to follow the same path.
A Symbol of How Education and Innovation Can Transform Lives
Patrícia’s achievement is not only a milestone in her career but also a symbol of how education and innovation can transform lives and open pathways in industries dominated by technological innovations. The Paranaense thus becomes an inspiring example for other women who wish to enter high-tech and engineering fields, not just at Tesla.
With the Tesla certification, Patrícia Meneghetti positions herself as a key player in the expansion and operation of energy storage systems in Brazil, significantly contributing to sustainable development and the energy revolution that the country is experiencing.
