Toyota Offer Puts the Corolla GLi 2.0 with Atmospheric Engine, CVT Transmission, and 7 Airbags Within Reach of PCD Public for a Value Close to Compact Turbo Sedans, but the Available Batch is Quite Limited.

Toyota has re-released the Corolla GLi 2.0 for people with disabilities, with an 18% bonus added to the exemptions, bringing the price down to around R$ 126.9 thousand.

This is a restricted batch after the suspension of orders in February.

According to the specialized portal Mundo do Automóvel for PCD, there are fewer than 40 units available, all in Polar White.

The condition also applies to taxis and fleets via direct sales.

In practice, the total discount brings the medium sedan closer to the price charged for turbo compacts.

In recent campaigns, the effective price of the GLi for PCD was around R$ 126,915, a level that approaches the price paid for automated 1.0 turbo versions of smaller sedans.

This is the case for the HB20S with 1.0 TGDI engine, whose top configurations are around R$ 133 thousand at retail.

Limited Batch and Target Audience

The resumption occurs in the form of a limited offer, with counted stock and factory-defined color, directed at the PcD audience with tax exemptions provided by law.

Toyota has extended the condition to taxis and fleets, in these cases under the regime of direct sales.

The content was reported by Mundo do Automóvel for PCD, which details the reduced quantity of units and the eligibility rules.

Price and Discount Calculation

The GLi 2.0 has a suggested public price that, combined with the factory bonus of 18% and the IPI exemption, falls to around R$ 126.9 thousand for PcD.

This amount, confirmed by automotive publications, puts the Corolla back on the radar of those evaluating turbo compacts for cost-benefit, as the medium sedan delivers more space and a higher displacement mechanical set for a relatively small price difference.

Standard Equipment

Even being the access version, the GLi brings a coherent package for daily use.

Among the items, there is 10″ multimedia, 7″ panel, rear camera, and 7 airbags, in addition to stability and traction controls.

The visual set is more discreet, with 16-inch alloy wheels and halogen headlights with LED DRL.

The finish follows the standard of the entry version, with simplified seats and upholstery compared to the higher configurations.

2.0 Engine and CVT Transmission

The sedan uses the well-known 2.0 16V flex atmospheric engine, which delivers up to 175 hp and 21.3 kgfm with ethanol, paired with a CVT that simulates 10 speeds.

This is the same mechanical set used in the more expensive versions of the line, a point that helps explain the demand for the GLi when opportunities arise in direct sales.

Differences for Higher Versions

In the internal comparison of the range, the GLi sacrifices aesthetic and convenience features to maintain focus on the price.

There are no external chrome elements, the headlights are not fully LED, and some advanced driving assistants are limited to the above options.

Still, the passive safety package is robust, with seven airbags distributed among front, side, curtain, and one knee airbag for the driver, plus Isofix mounts in the rear seat.

Warranty and Toyota 10 Program

The 2025 line from Toyota in Brazil offers 5 years of warranty with no mileage limit for private use.

After this period, the manufacturer offers the Toyota 10 program, which allows you to extend coverage annually by completing services at the authorized network, up to a total of 10 years.

Thus, anyone purchasing the Corolla in this limited batch maintains the same warranty policy applied to the new range.

Suspension and Return of Sales

Orders for the GLi for PcD were suspended in February 2025, and the return occurred in stages.

First with the signaling of a restricted batch and, days later, with the consolidation of final prices close to R$ 126.9 thousand.

Specialized portals confirmed the return of the offer, indicating that the campaign replicates the conditions in effect before the pause.

Comparison with Compact Turbo Sedans

The combination of factory bonus, exemptions, and 2.0 mechanical set positions the Corolla GLi in a price range that relates to compact turbo sedans.

For the PcD public, the possibility of accessing a medium sedan with 7 airbags, CVT, and a higher displacement engine around R$ 127 thousand improves the cost-benefit relation, provided that the purchase is made within the limited stock.

For reference, top versions of the HB20S 1.0 TGDI start at levels close to R$ 133 thousand in conventional retail.

In light of this scenario, those entitled to the exemptions and considering migrating from a turbo compact sedan to a medium sedan should consider stock, billing periods, and eligibility before deciding: in your assessment, does the 2.0 combination of the Corolla weigh more than the extra equipment of the turbo compacts?
