Francisco Carlos Carvalho, the company’s director, says that “The expansion is already completed and we are waiting for the inspection from the National Petroleum Agency (ANP).” The director also mentioned that the company is considering increasing production to 8,000 bpd for next year. According to Francisco, the company’s estimated investment is R$ 50 million, which could generate 50 new job positions in the Camaçari Hub, in addition to the current 282 direct and indirect job positions.
The director further stated, “The expansion of our refining capacity aims primarily to meet the increased supply of oil produced by independent producers, which should occur after the sale/auctions of mature fields by Petrobras.” He also emphasized that “the possibility of greater oil acquisition will consequently contribute to generating more jobs and income for the municipality of Camaçari and for the state of Bahia.”
