Petrobras' Platform P-48 was one of the units in which the company hibernated due to the coronavirus crisis
Recently, Petrobras hibernated several oil and gas production units due to the coronavirus crisis and the effects caused by it. Among the hibernated units was the company's FPSO P-48. After almost a month stopped, the FPSO returned to operate in the Barracuda and Caratinga fields, according to the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to PetróleoHoje.

According to the National Petroleum Agency, the hibernating fields as of yesterday are the following: Caioba, Camorim, Guaricema, Garoupa, Cherne, Namorado, Bagre, Atum, Xaréu, Curimã, Espada, Ubarana, Oeste de Ubarana, Agulha, Barracuda, Carantinga, Aguilhada, Angelim, Aruari, Atalaia Sul, Brejo Grande, Ilha Pequena, Barrinha, Barrinha Leste, Barrinha Sudoeste, Poço Verde, Serra do Mel, Serra Vermelha, Vale do Quiricó, Lagoa do Paulo Sul, Juriti, Manati, Peroá, Cangoá, Merluza and Lobster.
Also, recent data from the ANP reported that the P-48 produced 18 barrels of oil per day and 420 m³ per day of natural gas in March. Also in the two fields of Barracuda and Caratinga, there is another FPSO installed, however, production continues to be interrupted.
