The New Public Competition of PM SP Offers Thousands of Vacancies for High School Candidates, with Salaries of Up to R$ 4,8 Thousand and an Age Limit of Up to 30 Years.
On October 31, the notice for the second PM SP competition was published. In total, the São Paulo Military Police is offering 2,700 vacancies for the position of 2nd Class Soldier of the Corps of Rank. Applications can be made from November 6 to December 20.
Who Can Participate in the PM SP High School Competition?
The salaries offered in the public competition notice reach R$ 4,8 thousand. The Vunesp Foundation is the organizing body responsible for the competition and accepts applications between November and December.
The soldier position open in the PM SP competition requires high school education and a minimum age of 17 and a maximum of 30 years, except for those who are already in the military police, as well as a minimum height of 1.55 m for women and 1.60 m for men and a National Driver’s License in categories B and E.

The public competition will consist of six stages. The objective tests are scheduled for February 2024, in 51 municipalities in São Paulo and other states.

Know How to Register for the PM SP Competition
Interested candidates wishing to take the high school competition for the Military Police of São Paulo must complete their registrations from November 6 to December 20, on the Vunesp Foundation website, the organizing body. The registration fee, amounting to R$ 85, can be paid until December 21.
Students who earn a monthly income lower than two minimum wages or those who are unemployed will be entitled to a 50% reduction in the fee. The period for requesting a 50% waiver of the fee will be from November 6 to 9.
Exams of the PM SP Public Competition
The objective test will consist of 60 questions, distributed among the subjects of:
- Portuguese Language: 15 questions;
- General Knowledge: 15 questions;
- Basic Computer Skills: 15 questions;
- Mathematics: 15 questions;
- Public Administration Concepts: 15 questions.
The essay test will be applied on the same day as the objective test and will consist of a prose essay. Qualified candidates will be summoned for the physical fitness examination, which will include:
- 12-Minute Run;
- 50-Meter Run;
- Abdominal Resistance;
- Push-ups and Pull-ups.
After the physical exams, candidates will undergo health and psychological evaluations to assess health conditions and personality traits.
