Program Offers Practical Training in Energy Efficiency, GRI Indicators, and Business Acceleration for Small and Medium Enterprises Between February and March.
Initially, the SMEs Go Green program announced the opening of registrations for new workshops focused on energy efficiency and ESG metrics. The initiative is led by the Brazil-Germany Chamber (AHK São Paulo), in partnership with the ECO+ Foundation. Furthermore, the project is funded by the European Union, under the AL-INVEST VERDE program.
As announced by AHK São Paulo in February 2026, the meetings will take place between February and March. Above all, the focus is on the practical implementation of the ESG agenda. At the same time, the goal is to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
In addition, the trainings have been structured to provide concrete support to companies. Thus, the aim is to reduce operational costs. Concurrently, global standards of transparency are intended to be adopted. Finally, digitalization will be integrated into sustainability strategies.

Energy Efficiency Kicks Off the Agenda in February
Firstly, on February 25, 2026, the workshop “Energy Efficiency: How to Reduce Costs and Increase Competitiveness” will take place. In this regard, the meeting will explore energy management as a strategic financial tool.
During the event, strategies to optimize resource consumption will be presented. Thus, it will be demonstrated how energy efficiency directly contributes to reducing fixed expenses. Consequently, industrial competitiveness tends to be strengthened.
GRI Indicators and Governance in Spotlight
Subsequently, on March 3, 2026, the workshop “Sustainability Management: GRI Indicators to Drive Results” will occur. In this context, the professionalization of governance will be addressed through Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators.
According to the internationally accepted GRI methodology, non-financial impacts should be accurately measured. Therefore, managers will be trained to structure consistent reports. In this way, attracting investors can be strengthened based on globally recognized metrics.
Green and Digital Transition for Support Entities
Next, on March 11, 2026, the workshop “Green and Digital Services for Support Entities: How to Expand Competitiveness with Sustainable Solutions” will be promoted. Unlike the previous ones, this meeting will be specifically directed towards support entities.
During the program, the green and digital transition will be discussed practically. Moreover, technological tools will be integrated into sustainable solutions. Consequently, the service portfolio may be expanded with higher added value.
Second Acceleration Cycle Begins in March
Alongside the workshops, the program will start, on March 2, 2026, the 2nd Acceleration Cycle. The initiative is aimed at companies seeking structured mentorship. At the same time, support will be offered for adapting business models.
Additionally, the development of new products will be encouraged. Therefore, interested companies will be able to structure more sustainable strategies. Thus, the integration of innovation, ESG, and competitiveness will be stimulated within internationally recognized standards.
Finally, according to institutional information from AHK São Paulo and the ECO+ Foundation, the program remains aligned with the guidelines of the AL-INVEST VERDE, an initiative supported by the European Union since its implementation in Latin America.
