The design follows the classic look of its predecessor, which was already a success among the brand’s customers. The goal remains the same, being an affordable alternative, with low price and consumption. In recent years, Honda had to change its plans, impacting even the motorcycles that are popular among the public in some countries.

In addition to the new look, the new Shineray Jet 50s is offered in five color options: white with blue seat and details, red with black details, black with brown details, white with brown details, and white with black details. Among its features, the model comes with alloy wheels, front disc brake, electric start, tachometer, and much more.

Rival Of The Honda Pop 110i Reaches 75 Km/h

It’s worth mentioning that, for a model to be classified as a moped, its engine cannot have a capacity greater than 50 cubic centimeters and its maximum speed cannot exceed 50 km/h. This is where the category shift comes in for classification as a conventional motorcycle, as the brand announced that the maximum speed of the new low-cost Shineray Jet 50s is 75 km/h.

Speaking of engine, the affordable motorcycle from Shineray, rival of the Honda Pop 110i, uses a 4-stroke single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 50 cubic centimeters. It uses only gasoline, is carbureted, and has a camshaft operating the two valves. Thus, it can deliver 2.7 hp at 8,000 RPM and 0.26 kgfm of torque at 6,000 RPM. The transmission is a 4-speed mechanical with automatic clutch.

In terms of measurements, the new affordable Shineray Jet 50S is 1,910 mm long, 660 mm wide, 1,105 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 1,275 mm. The weight in running order is 106 kg and the tank can hold up to 3 liters of fuel.

Another Motorcycle From Shineray Has Just Arrived In The Market For R$ 9,990

In addition to the Shineray Jet that arrives to compete with the Honda Pop, the brand also launched the new Shineray Free 150 EFI, with a suggested price of R$ 9,990 plus shipping and taxes, depending on the region. The Free 150 EFI is the cheapest model in the 150 cubic centimeter segment in the national market and the first launch of the brand’s portfolio in 2024.

Like all Shineray models, the Free 150 EFI comes with electronic fuel injection and is highly economical, a significant advantage for those looking for an agile and durable vehicle to navigate the major urban centers. The new model is expected to hit its own stores and dealerships on the 15th of this month.
