Reporting to the Manager and Tax Assistant, this position will handle tax calculations, filing tax returns, organizing CGG files related to administrative and judicial tax processes, and assisting other members of the tax department team;
Prepare calculations to determine the tax base and the corresponding amounts to be paid for withholding taxes (ISS, IRRF, CSRF, and PIS / COFINS / CSLL), service tax (ISS), – prepare the filling of CGG’s accessory tax obligations (DARM, DARF, PerDcomp, DCTF, and DIRF);
Maintain records in tax books (ISS book);
Assist the Manager / Tax Assistant in participating in Brazilian tax audits (from tax authorities and internal and external audits);
Organize CGG files related to administrative and judicial tax processes;
Stay updated on changes in local legislation that may impact our activities weekly; and
Assist the Brazilian Tax Manager with other matters relevant to CGG.
Qualifications
Required: Attending a university course in law, accounting, or administration is necessary; Must be practical, organized, and strongly committed to teamwork.
Desired: Knowledge in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

You will use your practical skills in mathematics and physics to create seismic images, producing stunning 3D images of the subsurface. Through the comprehensive training program, you will have the opportunity to be assigned for 6 months to one of the most prestigious processing centers located in Houston, where you will learn to develop and apply the latest data processing techniques, model building, and imaging techniques using some of the world’s most advanced CPU and GPU computing facilities to overcome geophysical challenges and create cutting-edge solutions for clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or any other analytical discipline – master’s or doctoral degree highly desirable; Good communication in English; Passion and enthusiasm for analytical challenges and problem-solving; Expertise in an area of applied mathematics / physics / data science; Enthusiastic attitude towards learning and flexibility to adapt to new challenges or shifts in direction; Innovative mindset; Ideally, some experience in programming; No prior experience is required!
