Puc-Rio Opens Enrollment for Online Specialization Course in Engineering, Economics, Law, and Related Fields
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical Scientific Center of PUC-Rio (CTC/PUC-Rio), in partnership with the Energy Institute of PUC (IEPUC), started the year by opening enrollment until March 5 for the online specialization course (EAD) with MBE Energy certification. Professionals should mainly be from the engineering field, but also from other areas such as administration, economics, law, and related fields, in addition to having an interest in engineering, planning, and regulation in the energy sector.

The online classes will be live-streamed via the Zoom platform. They will also be recorded and made available for consultation for up to 2 months after the course ends. Additionally, various teaching methods will be employed, considering the interdisciplinary nature of the course and the characteristics of each discipline. In general, the course will include lectures, videos, talks, seminars, etc.

Objectives of the PUC Specialization Course, Dates, and Workload
The goal of PUC in offering this course is to contribute to the technical training of higher education professionals in the fields of engineering, planning, and regulation in the energy sector. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage in various activities related to project evaluations, planning, and regulatory consistency, with general and specific knowledge to understand, discuss, make decisions, and collaborate on projects and systems discussed in the course environment.
Regarding dates and times, the first period will start on March 14 and will conclude in mid-July. The course will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Enrollment can be done until March 7, and students’ attendance in classes must be over 75%.
