Transforming the Look of the Corolla Can Be Simpler Than It Seems. With an Affordable Investment and a Little Patience, It Is Possible to Replace All the Halogen Bulbs of the Model with Modern LED Versions, Guaranteeing a Prettier and More Efficient Result.
In the video posted on the channel Cars with Tiago, the content creator shows the complete process of replacing the conventional bulbs of the Toyota Corolla with LED versions.
The model presented still used yellow bulbs in the high beam, low beam, and auxiliary light. Only the DRL, that daytime running light strip, was already factory LED.
The most important thing, according to the video, is that this change transforms the vehicle’s appearance and also improves lighting. The highlight is the contrast between before and after, visible at the end of the installation.

How to Change the Auxiliary Light
The procedure starts with the fog light. To access this bulb, the first step is to remove the mudguard cover.
Two screws hold this piece. After removing it, it is possible to reach the inside where the auxiliary light is located.
Then, just press the bulb release tab and pull down. The part comes out completely.
To install the new LED, just fit it in the same place, turn it in the indicated direction, and connect the wiring harness. The other side follows the same process.
Tiago also shows the replacement using one side of the car where the mudguard was no longer installed, making it easier for the audience to see.
High and Low Beam with Similar Assembly
Replacing the main bulbs is also considered simple. The first step is to pull the electrical plug. It comes out with a slight backward motion. Then, just turn the bulb and remove it.
To install the LED, the process is the same. Insert the new bulb into the socket, turn until it locks, connect the plug, and you’re done. According to the video, this method applies to both the high beam and low beam.
The practical tip is to always follow the position shown in the tutorial to ensure the correct fit. This avoids looseness or poor contact.
Visual Result Draws Attention
After replacing the six bulbs, the presenter shows the final result. The contrast between the old, yellow lights and the new LED lighting is evident. The white light gives the car a more modern look.
Additionally, the LED provides better visibility at night, although this point was not the main focus of the video.
Total Cost of the LEDs
At the end of the content, Tiago reveals the total amount spent on the replacement. According to him, the entire set of LEDs used — including high beam, low beam, and auxiliary — cost R$ 620.
The amount considers quality parts but does not include labor, as the installation was done by himself.
Therefore, for those looking to improve the Corolla’s appearance and are willing to do the work themselves, this is an accessible and functional alternative.
