City Hall is committed to promoting social inclusion and accessibility by opening registrations for the free Libras courses.
This initiative is a valuable opportunity for the community, allowing more people to acquire knowledge about the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and enhance their communication skills.
Starting from February 17, interested individuals can enroll in the Libras I, II, and III courses, as well as the Libras Kids, at the Center for Assistance to the Deaf (CAS).

Offer of Spots and Modalities
The courses are a response to the growing demand for inclusive and accessible education.
With 585 available spots, the city hall seeks to serve a diverse audience:
- Libras I: Offers 140 spots for the morning and 140 for the afternoon. This course is ideal for beginners who wish to learn the basics of Brazilian Sign Language.
- Libras II: The second stage has 105 spots in the morning and 105 in the afternoon, perfect for those who already have basic knowledge and want to deepen their skills.
- Libras III: With 35 spots available in each shift, this course is aimed at students who already have a solid understanding and seek to advance further.
- Libras Kids: Specifically designed for children, it offers 15 morning spots and 15 afternoon spots. It is an excellent opportunity for young people aged 8 to 14 years to be introduced to the world of Libras.
Registrations and Enrollment Process
Registrations for the courses will be conducted online, facilitating access for interested individuals.
