Hurry and Secure Your Spot Before February 6!

If you are looking to specialize in public safety with free access to the best education in the country, get ready to learn about an opportunity that can change your career.

With limited places and registration already underway, this specialization promises to revolutionize the market with innovation and intelligence. But what makes this course so special and essential for professionals in the field?

The Ministry of Justice and Public Safety, in partnership with the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), announced the launch of the Specialization Course in Intelligence and Innovation Applied to Combating Organized Crime.

Aimed at graduates interested in working in the security sector, the training is free, 100% online, and offers 250 spots.

Registration, conducted exclusively on the official program website, remains open until 5 PM on February 6, 2025.

Innovative Structure and Strategic Approach

The course has been designed to address the most urgent issues in public safety.

With a workload of 360 hours distributed over four trimesters, the program combines theory and practice to equip professionals with modern tools and advanced techniques in combating organized crime.

In the first trimester, the focus is on building a solid theoretical foundation with subjects such as Scientific Research Methodology, Cyber Intelligence, and Knowledge Management.

Next, the second trimester introduces Investigative Tools and Techniques, highlighting advanced methodologies in criminal and asset investigation.

In the last two periods, students study legal aspects, emerging technologies, and trends, concluding the specialization with a Final Course Paper (TCC).

According to the announcement No. 001/2025, this organization allows participants to develop a deep and integrated understanding of the real demands of public safety.

Who Can Register?

According to the Ministry of Justice, professionals with a bachelor’s degree recognized by MEC who work or have an interest in working in the areas of public safety, intelligence, or combating organized crime can participate in the selection.

Additionally, public servants with proven experience in the field have priority for a portion of the spots.

The 250 spots are divided into two categories: 200 for general competition and 50 for affirmative actions.

The distribution accommodates social groups in vulnerable situations, such as blacks, indigenous peoples, and people with disabilities, promoting diversity and inclusion in the training process.

Selection Process of UFSC

The selection process consists of two main stages:

  1. Curriculum Analysis (60%) – Evaluates academic background and scientific competencies based on the Lattes Curriculum.
  2. Title Test (40%) – Considers length of service and work in specialized units.

The classification of candidates will be determined by the sum of the scores from both stages.

The tie-breaking criteria include higher scores in the curriculum analysis, more service time, and older age.

Why Choose UFSC?

UFSC is a national reference in higher education and scientific research, with a highly qualified faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

According to the institution, the course offers robust training aligned with market demands and the needs of public safety in Brazil.

The free specialization represents an unmissable opportunity for those looking to boost their careers while making a significant contribution to combating organized crime.

According to the announcement, the objective of the course is to train a select group of professionals capable of facing the contemporary challenges of the sector with intelligence and innovation.

Enrollment and Documentation

To enroll, interested parties must access the official program website (https://inteligenciaeinovacao.paginas.ufsc.br/inscricoes), fill out the electronic form, and attach the required documents by the deadline, February 6, 2025.

It is essential to ensure that all deadlines are met for the validation of the application.

And You, Will You Take Advantage of This Chance?

With an increasingly complex scenario in combating organized crime, courses like this become essential for training leaders in the field of public safety.

Importante retificar a matéria. Dá a entender que qualquer um pode participar. Mas li o edital e vi que a especialização é exclusiva para servidores efetivos e ativos dos órgãos de segurança e correlatos. Não tem vaga para membros da sociedade civil.
