As announced by the Ministry of Racial Equality (MIR) and CAPES, the goal is to promote education on ethnic-racial relations and combat racism through 15-day exchanges in three extraordinary destinations: Peru, Angola, and the Dominican Republic.
The program seeks to strengthen the ties between Brazil and Latin American and African countries through training activities, visits to historical sites, schools, and museums.
The Opportunity for International Exchange in 2024
With the Joint Announcement No. 4/2024, CAPES is offering 50 spots for teachers from Brazilian public educational institutions who work in ethnic-racial relations education, and 50 spots for students enrolled from the 5th semester of degree courses.
The selected candidates will have the chance to study and engage in practical activities in Peru, Angola, or the Dominican Republic, establishing an important connection with the learning of other cultural and educational realities.
Visits, Academic Exchange, and Local Culture
The exchange will be enriched with training activities and visits to historical and cultural sites in the three locations covered by the program:
- Peru: Participation in academic activities with the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, as well as visits to schools, museums, and historical sites in Lima.
- Angola and the Dominican Republic: Short-term studies and participation in scientific events, with visits to schools, historical sites, and museums in their respective capitals.
