The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE) has announced two notices for the Admission Process 2025.2 with opportunities in technical and undergraduate courses, distributed across several units of the institution. In total, there are 2,083 free spots in different modalities, with admission through exam or performance analysis, depending on the course. The programs focus on professional qualification, technical specialization, or continuing education, covering areas such as engineering, health, information technology, gastronomy, agriculture, among others.
The courses offered by IFPE aim to train qualified professionals to act ethically and efficiently in the job market. The workload varies according to the course and may include theoretical and practical classes, laboratory activities, seminars, in-person and online assessments, as well as asynchronous moments on digital platforms in EAD courses. Most courses will be offered in in-person modality, with some offerings in Distance Education (EAD) and hybrid format, with biweekly meetings on Saturdays at specific poles.

2,083 Spots Distributed Among Integrated Technical Courses, Subsequent Technical Courses, and Undergraduate Courses
The 2,083 spots are distributed among integrated technical courses, subsequent technical courses, and undergraduate courses. The courses will be taught at the IFPE campuses located in municipalities such as Recife, Garanhuns, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Ipojuca, Afogados da Ingazeira, Barreiros, Vitória de Santo Antão, among others. The EAD modality will be offered at poles such as Fernando de Noronha.
How Selection Works
Admission occurs through two distinct processes:
- Subsequent Technical Courses: selection through school history analysis (grades in Portuguese and Mathematics) or grades obtained in the ENEM between 2020 and 2024.
- Integrated Technical Courses and Undergraduate Courses: selection by objective exam, composed of multiple-choice questions and essay (in the case of undergraduate courses).
IFPE adopts the quota system provided for in Law No. 12,711/2012, reserving at least 60% of the spots for candidates from public schools, with additional cuts for low-income students, people with disabilities, self-declared black, brown, indigenous, and quilombola individuals.
Requirements to Apply
Candidates who have completed elementary education (for integrated technical courses) or high school (for subsequent technical courses and undergraduate courses) by the time of enrollment can participate in the selection process. It is necessary to present supporting documentation and, in the case of EAD modality, stable internet access and basic digital equipment (computer or cell phone with camera) are recommended.

How to Enroll
Applications for all courses must be made exclusively through the official IFPE website: https://portal.ifpe.edu.br/, during the period of May 20 to June 5, 2025. The application fee varies according to the notice: R$ 10.00 for subsequent courses and R$ 30.00 or R$ 55.00 for integrated technical and undergraduate courses, respectively. The courses are free and at the end of the training, the student will receive a certificate or diploma with national validity, recognized by the Ministry of Education.
