The Federal Institute Farroupilha (IFFar) announcedEdital 318/2024, opening the selection process for itssubsequent technical courses. A total of820 places are offered in on-site and distance courses, aimed at those who have completed high school or are completing it by the end of 2024. These courses provide professional training in various fields, representing a valuable opportunity for those seeking specialized technical education.

Course Objective and Workload

The free online technical courses (EaD) have the main objective of qualifying professionals for the job market in specific areas, providing solid and targeted education. The courses are offered in two modalities: in-person and Distance Education (EaD). In the case of distance courses, students are required to attend in-person meetings that correspond to 20% of the total workload. The overall workload of the courses may vary, and activities include theoretical classes, seminars, discussion forums, and periodic assessments.

The Federal Institute IFFar offers 360 spots for in-person courses and 460 for EaD courses, totaling 820 spots. These spots are distributed across various campuses and teaching centers in Rio Grande do Sul, such as Frederico Westphalen, São Borja, Panambi, Santa Rosa, São Vicente do Sul, among others. The spots are offered in various fields, such as Agriculture, Administration, Nursing, Logistics, Animal Science and much more.

Selection Processes for Free and Online Courses (EaD)

The selection of candidates will be conducted throughelectronic drawing, which will be broadcast live on the IFFar YouTube channel. There are also reserved spots foraffirmative actions, such as candidates who self-declare as Black, Brown, Indigenous, Quilombolas, and people with disabilities. These candidates must meet the requirements established by the notice to compete for the specific quota spots.

Registration Requirements

Candidates must have completed or be completing high school by 2024 to be able to apply. Additionally, internet access is required to register online and follow activities in the case of EaD courses.
