Partnership between the Government of Alagoas, Seduc, and Senai/AL will transform part of the state debt interest into 2,000 free technical course slots for 2nd-year high school students, with classes scheduled for July 29 and a focus on areas demanded by the local industry
Alagoas will be the first state in the country to formalize a partnership in Propag — Interest for Education, converting part of the state debt interest into 2,000 free technical course slots for public school students, meeting about 30% of the local industrial demand.
2,000 free technical course slots will be opened in Alagoas for 2nd-year high school students from the state network, in partnership with the Government of Alagoas, through Seduc, with Senai/AL, within the federal program Propag.
Technical courses transform debt interest into education
The initiative converts part of the resources that would be allocated to the payment of state debt interest into direct investment in the qualification of young people from Alagoas. Alagoas is the first state in the country to formalize a partnership in the Interest for Education axis.

The agreement provides for free high school level technical courses. The offer was designed for students who are still in school but are already approaching entry into the job market.
Classes are scheduled to start on July 29. There will be 100 classes, with participation from 17 state schools and Senai units in Arapiraca and Maceió.
In the capital, the courses will be distributed across the Poço, Benedito Bentes, and Industrial District hubs. The structure seeks to bring students closer to areas related to the state’s industry.
Slots meet the demand of the Alagoas industry
The chosen areas include Systems Development, Chemistry and Petrochemicals, Electromechanics, Electroelectronics, Occupational Safety, Construction, Plastics, Automotive Maintenance, Industrial Machine Maintenance, Quality, and Production Planning and Control.
The definition of the courses considers demands identified by the Industrial Work Map, prepared by the National Industry Observatory, linked to CNI.
Today, Alagoas needs just over 6,000 technical professionals to meet the needs of the industrial sector. With 2,000 slots, the first offer covers about 30% of this demand.
The proposal creates a bridge between public school and technical employment. For students, the training can expand access to industrial occupations while they are still completing high school.
