The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amapá (IFAP) announced the opening of the hiring notice for the Simplified Selection Process, aimed at selecting scholarship holders to act as training teachers, distance tutors, and face-to-face tutors in the online Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy. This course is offered by the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB) and aims to democratize access to higher education in Brazil, especially in regions with fewer vacancies in face-to-face universities.

With a total of 20 vacancies for training teachers spread across various disciplines, the notice offers opportunities in various fields of knowledge, such as Developmental Psychology, Scientific Methodology, and General Didactics. Additionally, there are 12 vacancies for online and face-to-face course tutors, distributed across centers located in Macapá, Santana, Laranjal do Jari, Vitória do Jari, Oiapoque, and Pedra Branca do Amaparí. Applications can be made until August 7, 2024, exclusively online.

Who Can Participate

To apply for the training teacher vacancies, it is necessary to have a degree and postgraduate education compatible with the chosen discipline, in addition to a minimum of one year of experience in higher education teaching. For the vacancies of online and face-to-face course tutors, candidates must have a higher education degree in teaching, postgraduate education, and a minimum of one year of experience in higher education teaching.

The selection process will be conducted by a permanent selection committee from UAB/IFAP, ensuring transparency and impartiality in the choice of candidates.

Requirements and Subsidy

The requirements for application include being a natural or naturalized Brazilian citizen, being up-to-date with electoral obligations, and possessing the necessary academic qualifications. In addition, experience in using virtual learning environment (VLE) tools and availability to participate in meetings and training is essential.

The scholarships offered by CAPES range from R$ 1,100.00 to R$ 1,850.00, depending on the function and workload of the discipline.

Selection Process

Candidates must provide personal information, academic background, professional experience, and the desired function. The curricular analysis will be based on the provided data, and the preliminary classification will be announced on August 12, 2024.

The selection process will be conducted in a single phase, analyzing applications and a preliminary registration for the Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy. The calling of approved candidates will be done via e-mail, following the ranking order and the program’s demand. Selected candidates will start their activities on August 31, 2024, after participating in a mandatory training course.

At the end of the selection process, approved candidates will have the opportunity to start their activities in the Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy, providing quality and accessible education to all. The enrollment is simple and can be done online until August 7, 2024. Good luck to all candidates!
