Online Course Offers 700 Spots in 10 Classes, Promoting Inclusion and Communication Between Hearing Individuals and the Deaf Community!
The State Department of Human Rights for People with Disabilities (SEDPcD) has started registrations for a new edition of the Basic Libras Course, which is online and free. Registrations opened this Thursday (6) at 10 AM, and in this stage, 700 spots will be available, divided into 10 classes, each with 70 spots.
Classes are scheduled to start on March 10 and will be conducted live by deaf teachers.
Interested individuals can choose between classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; Tuesdays and Thursdays; or Saturdays.

To ensure participation, just select one of the available classes. It is important to note that it is not necessary to fill out more than one form, as there will be no lottery.
After registration, the student will receive all necessary instructions via email to attend the classes.
Requirements for Registration and Certification
Individuals aged 18 years or older can register, and it is mandatory to use a camera during the virtual meetings, which will take place on the Zoom platform.
To obtain the certificate at the end of the course, it is necessary to have at least 75% attendance and achieve a final average greater than 5.0 in assessments.

This course aims to prepare hearing individuals to communicate in Libras, promoting greater inclusion and interaction with the over 592,000 deaf individuals living in the state of São Paulo, according to data from the Observatory for the Rights of People with Disabilities.
