The Oil Company Shell Signed an Integrated Services Contract with Halliburton, for the Development of Post-Salt and Exploration of Pre-Salt in the Campos and Santos Basins in Brazil.
Under the contract, which includes a three-year term with a two-year extension, Halliburton will provide drilling services to increase efficiency by integrating various offerings and product technologies, the oilfield service provider said on Wednesday.
“Our integrated services model is designed to help accelerate the development of new fields, reduce drilling and completion costs, and increase recovery through the use of our innovative technologies and basin insights,” said Anouar Fraija, Vice President of Halliburton Brazil.

Taller than the Statue of Liberty, thousands of wind turbines are being planted in the middle of U.S. fields, creating two-story farms where corn and soybeans grow below while the wind turns into electricity above.
“We are excited to win this contract and collaborate with Shell to provide integrated solutions that maximize the value of their assets”.
Halliburton has a history in Brazil’s pre-salt fields, which are among the most complex wells ever drilled, and require a broad scope of technologies and resources to achieve economic and operational success.
Halliburton also maintains a technology center in Rio de Janeiro.
Macaé and Its Infrastructure
Despite all the economic problems triggered by the crisis in the offshore oil and gas sector, not only in Macaé but in all producing municipalities, the city of Macaé still holds the remaining infrastructure used by companies previously, and as today’s motto is cost containment, especially due to lower values in Petrobras contracts, many have chosen to continue developing their ventures in the city.
These same statements were endorsed by the President of Petrobras and the Governor of Rio de Janeiro in a video, check all the details of this statement here.
