The total number of available openings is 1,594 to learn Libras and 120 for the basic music training course.

Registrations for the Libras course must be made at one of the 14 Regional Education Management (GRE) offices of the state, whose addresses are available on the Secretary’s website.

It is important for candidates to attend in person and present documents such as ID, CPF, proof of residence, and a 3×4 photo.

For those wishing to enter intermediate or advanced modules, it is necessary to present the certificate of the last completed module.

For those interested in Module I of the Support Center for the Deaf, located in Recife, registrations can be made online.

The Libras courses are scheduled to begin on August 5th and have a total workload of 60 hours, distributed over five months.

The course is structured into four modules, and completing all modules enables fluency in Brazilian Sign Language.

The announcement of the approved candidates is scheduled for Friday, August 2nd. Classes will start on August 12th.

Opportunity for Diverse Audiences

In addition to promoting social inclusion, the free courses offered by SEE aim to serve a wide range of interested individuals, from those who wish to learn Brazilian Sign Language, essential for communication with the deaf community, to music lovers who want to improve their skills or start a career in the field.

For the Secretary, offering these free openings is a way to democratize access to education and cultural development, contributing to the training of more prepared citizens engaged with cultural and social diversity.

Support and Monitoring

Participants in the courses in Pernambuco will have access to support and monitoring during the training period.

In the case of Libras, SEE guarantees that students will have qualified instructors and suitable teaching materials to facilitate learning.

Likewise, music students will be accompanied by experienced teachers in the field, providing a quality educational experience.

Both are part of a continuous effort by the Secretary to invest in projects that promote the inclusion and development of the skills of the citizens of Pernambuco.

Why Take One of the Free Courses?

These free courses in Pernambuco represent an excellent opportunity for those looking to acquire new skills in Libras or music.

It is essential for interested parties to register before the final deadline and present all necessary documentation to guarantee participation.

Openings are limited, and the selection process can be highly competitive, especially for the music training course, which offers a wide range of instruments and areas of activity.
