Balanço Geral Report Shows How Woman Loses R$350 Thousand by Selling Property for Alleged Investment in Cryptocurrencies with Partner Met Online

A story that began with promises of romance on social media ended in devastating financial loss. A woman loses R$350 thousand after marrying a man she met online, as revealed by an exclusive report from Balanço Geral. The victim was convinced to part with her assets under the false promise of building a financial “empire” alongside her new partner.

The relationship, which seemed perfect at first, quickly turned into a nightmare. According to Balanço Geral’s investigation, the man used emotional manipulation to gain financial advantages, culminating in the sale of the victim’s property and his subsequent flight with the money. The case serves as a serious warning about the dangers of virtual relationships that quickly evolve into financial solicitations.

The Beginning of the Relationship and the Promise of Investments

The couple met through a social network in December of last year. According to the reports presented in Balanço Geral, the 43-year-old man initially appeared attentive and affectionate but soon began to ask for money to cover personal expenses, such as help for his daughter, shopping, and even dog food. Despite these warning signs, the relationship rapidly advanced to a marriage in March of this year.

After the wedding, the man convinced the victim, identified as Suzane, to sell her apartment located in Guarujá, the coast of São Paulo. The promise was to use the money for investments in cryptocurrencies, with the argument that they would become millionaires and could buy “ten apartments” like that one. The property was sold for R$ 350,000, an amount that was supposed to be invested in digital currencies according to the alleged investor’s plan.

Move to Mexico and the Husband’s Escape

With the goal of living off income and distancing themselves from family criticism, the couple moved to Mexico, where Suzane had another residence. However, according to the report, the husband’s behavior changed drastically within the first few days in the new country. He began to sleep in another room, avoid intimacy, and demand that she serve him, claiming that he was “working with her money”.

The situation reached a critical point when he tried to convince her to sell the house in Mexico as well. When his request was denied and he realized that Suzane was becoming suspicious, he took advantage of her trip to the supermarket to flee. “He had already run away with everything, with all my money”, the victim reported to Balanço Geral, just one month after the wedding.

Version of the Suspect and Judicial Developments

Balanço Geral was able to reach the ex-husband by phone, who denied taking the entire amount. He claimed that Suzane had only transferred R$ 100,000 as a “donation” for investment. He stated that he had withdrawn and kept the money due to the “situation”, but denies stealing the total amount of R$ 350 thousand.

Currently, Suzane is pursuing a contentious divorce and seeks in court to block her ex-partner’s assets to mitigate her loss. So far, the court has ordered the blocking of around R$ 90,000 found in his accounts. The Public Security Department reported that the police are continuing to investigate the case and are awaiting the victim’s testimony, who is still in Mexico and is hoping for justice.
