Toyota Launches the Yaris Cross, a Compact SUV with High Expectations for Success in Brazil. With Competitive Prices and an Attractive Design, the Model Aims to Dominate the Compact SUV Segment.
The year 2024 marks a new chapter for Toyota in Brazil with the arrival of the Yaris Cross, its latest compact SUV. Designed to be a sales phenomenon, the Yaris Cross positions itself as a direct competitor to popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Chevrolet Tracker, and Volkswagen T-Cross. With PCD versions close to R$ 100,000 and hybrid engines, Toyota aims to lead yet another category in the national market.
The Yaris Cross is built on the DNG platform, a simplified version for compact models derived from TNGA. With a length of 4.31 m, it stands out as one of the largest in the category, featuring a modern and stylish design, reminiscent of a miniaturized version of the Corolla Cross.
Powertrain and Performance
Engine options include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated Flex with 120 horsepower and a hybrid system with 130 combined horsepower. The focus is on fuel economy, providing satisfactory performance and excellent average consumption figures.

The Toyota Yaris Cross offers a quality interior, comfortable cabin space for four adults and one child, and a comprehensive list of equipment. Technology features include a configurable digital dashboard, JBL sound system, wireless phone charging, among others.
Safety Toyota, National Manufacturing and Prices

The Yaris Cross will be produced at the Sorocaba plant in São Paulo, with an investment of R$ 1.6 billion from Toyota in Brazil. Prices range from about R$ 100,000 for PCD versions to R$ 160,000 for top hybrid configurations.
