Ternium, the largest producer of flat steel in Latin America which has a plant that generates 8 thousand jobs in the western zone of Rio, has managed to return to the same sales levels of steel plates produced in Brazil as in the pre-pandemic period.
Despite having registered a 37% drop in activities at the peak of the pandemic in April, the company has already recovered the numbers from 2019. Ternium’s plant in Brazil has an installed capacity to produce 5 million tons of steel plates per year and has main clients in the USA, Mexico, and Brazil.

Ternium Brazil is one of the largest steel mills in Brazil and Latin America. The plant began operations in June 2010, built by the German steelmaker Thyssenkrüpp.
