Launched for 2025, Honda’s Scooter Arrives with a 16-Horsepower Engine, Traction Control, and a New Digital Panel, but Keeps the ABS Only in the Front.
One of the most desired scooters in the market, the Honda ADV 160 2025 has arrived with significant changes in the engine, design, and especially in technology. The model, which has been successful since its launch, maintains the adventurous look inspired by its bigger sister, the X-ADV, but now with more power and new features to justify its position as a premium scooter.
Although it shares the engine base with the PCX, the ADV 160 brings its own characteristics that prepare it to face not only the city asphalt but also light dirt roads. Below, we detail everything about the launch, including technical specifications, performance, colors, and price.
What Has Changed in the Design and Technology of the Honda ADV 160 2025?
The look of Honda’s adventurous scooter has been updated, but without losing its identity. The finishing and fitting of the fairings continue to be a highlight, conveying a perception of quality. All lighting is LED, with a sophisticatedly designed headlight and well-positioned turn signals on the fairing. The windshield (bubble) still features a practical manual height adjustment.

The major evolution is in technology. The Honda ADV 160 2025 now comes with a factory alarm integrated into the smart key, an important addition that eliminates the need to install third-party accessories. The panel is also new, 100% digital, more complete, and with information such as a tachometer, average and instant fuel consumption, and battery voltage. Next to it, there is a storage compartment with a useful Type C USB port.
Engine and Performance, the 16 Horsepower of the New 156.9 cm³ Engine

The heart of the Honda ADV 160 2025 is the same engine that powers the PCX 160. It is a single-cylinder 156.9 cm³ engine with liquid cooling, delivering 16 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 1.46 kgf.m of torque. The transmission is automatic CVT, which in practice means you just need to accelerate and brake.
This new engine provides more vigor for the scooter, both in the city and on the road. In tests, the maximum speed achieved was around 120 km/h. The model also features the Idling Stop (Start-Stop) system, which turns off the engine during short stops to save fuel, and traction control, which can be turned off for off-road use.
Showa Suspension and Mixed-Use Tires
The adventurous proposal of the ADV is reinforced by its cycling. The scooter has a ground clearance of 16.5 cm, a good height to overcome urban obstacles and dirt roads. The front suspension is a telescopic fork with 130 mm of travel, while the rear features a dual shock absorber system from Showa, with an external gas reservoir and 110 mm of travel.
The alloy wheels are 14-inch in the front and 13-inch in the rear, and come fitted with mixed-use tires without inner tubes, ensuring good grip on both asphalt and dirt. The braking system features a 240 mm disc in the front and a 220 mm disc in the rear.
What Has Improved and What is Still Lacking?
The Honda ADV 160 2025 has evolved, but there are still points to improve.
Positive Points: the design and finishing continue to be a highlight. The onboard technology, featuring a factory alarm, traction control, and a complete panel, is pleasing. The agility for traffic and the good performance of the new engine are also strong points.
Negative Points: the high price remains the main barrier. The seat has been considered hard, which may be uncomfortable on long trips, and the rear suspension remains stiff. The space under the seat, although larger, still does not easily accommodate a full-face helmet. Lastly, the ABS system operates only on the front wheel, a critical point for a scooter of this category and price.
How Much Does It Cost and How Many Km/l Does the Honda ADV 160 2025 Do?

The Honda ADV 160 2025 is available in two colors and has a suggested retail price starting at R$ 24,534. It is important to note that this price can vary significantly among dealerships.
Regarding fuel consumption, in a mixed city and highway test, the average recorded on the panel was 35 km/l. This number can vary significantly depending on each rider’s style.
