CAOA Chery’s Hybrid SUV Arrives With 160 hp Turbo Engine, Advanced Assistance Package, and Technological Interior, Offered in September at the Same Price as a Basic Jeep Compass, in a Special Condition at the Brand’s Dealerships.
CAOA Chery announced a special condition for the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid Max Drive.
The model is now sold for the same price as the purely combustion version of the SUV: R$ 169,990. This is the same price that Jeep charges for the Compass Sport, the most basic version of its SUV.
The promotion is valid throughout the brand’s dealership network, with more than 150 sales points, until September 30 or while supplies last.

Mild Hybrid Engine With 48V BSG System
The Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid Max Drive uses a 1.5 turbo engine combined with a mild hybrid system.
The setup features a BSG (Belt Starter Generator) type generator/electric motor, a technology that replaces the conventional alternator and works in conjunction with the combustion engine.
The BSG recovers energy during braking and deceleration, converting it into electricity stored in a 48V battery.
This energy is used to assist the engine during starts and overtaking, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Although it does not allow driving solely in electric mode, the solution ensures greater efficiency compared to conventional models.
The combined power reaches 160 hp, while the torque reaches 25.5 kgfm, figures that position the SUV among the most competitive in its category.
Max Drive Package With Semi-Autonomous Features
Another standout feature of the model is the Max Drive package, which brings together advanced driver assistance systems.
With the help of cameras and sensors, the SUV can identify risky situations and automatically act to reduce accidents.
Highlights include the adaptive cruise control (ACC), which adjusts speed according to traffic ahead, and the automatic emergency braking, which can stop the vehicle upon detecting obstacles.
The package also includes a 360° camera, which enhances visibility around the vehicle during maneuvers, especially in tight spots.
These features bring the Tiggo 7 Hybrid closer to more sophisticated mid-size SUVs, putting it on par with competitors above its price range.
Design and Technological Interior
The exterior design follows the standards adopted by CAOA Chery in its SUV lineup, featuring an imposing front grille and chrome finishing.
Inside, the highlight is the panoramic sunroof and the digital screen setup, which totals 20.5 inches and concentrates the vehicle’s main functions.
The interior finish prioritizes soft-touch materials, while the dashboard and seats are designed to provide comfort on long journeys.
Produced at the Anápolis (GO) plant, the model is offered in metallic black and gray colors, in addition to pearlescent options of white and dark blue.
Tax Benefits and Advantages in Major Cities
In addition to the features and hybrid system, the SUV can bring additional benefits related to taxation.
In several Brazilian states, hybrid vehicles are eligible for exemption or reduction of IPVA, a measure that reduces ownership costs.
In São Paulo, the Tiggo 7 Hybrid is also exempt from the municipal driving restrictions, allowing it to circulate freely on restricted days.
These advantages increase the model’s appeal for those who use the car daily in large urban centers.
Comparison With Segment Rivals
In the price range in which it is offered, the Tiggo 7 Hybrid directly competes with models such as the Jeep Compass, Toyota Corolla Cross, and GWM Haval H6.
The Compass, even in its basic Sport version, has fewer assistance features and lacks hybrid technology.
The Corolla Cross hybrid offers electrified motorizations but starts at higher prices, above R$ 190,000 in September 2025.
The Haval H6, in turn, has a more advanced hybrid system but is priced above R$ 200,000.
In this context, CAOA Chery’s strategy is to highlight the cost-benefit of the Tiggo 7 Hybrid, delivering a technological package and turbo hybrid engine at a similar price to combustion rivals.
CAOA Chery’s Growth in Brazil
The promotion takes place at a time of growth for CAOA Chery in the Brazilian market.
Between January and August 2025, the brand recorded an 8% increase in sales.
The Tiggo 7, in particular, saw a 26.5% increase in registrations compared to the same period in 2024.
In the digital environment, the search also increased, with a 24.7% growth in online searches for the brand, and the Tiggo 7 Pro stood out among the most searched models. The base version of the mid-size SUV has starting prices of R$ 139,990.
