Tolls on SP-310 and other highways in the interior of SP became more expensive on May 1st. See new tariffs, Free Flow, DUF, and motorcycle discount.
Since midnight on Friday, May 1, 2026, those traveling on the highways administered by Ecovias Noroeste Paulista in the interior of São Paulo have been paying higher tolls at the toll plazas. The 4.11% readjustment, stipulated in the concession contract with the Government of the State of São Paulo, was calculated based on the IPCA — the country’s official inflation index, measured by the IBGE — accumulated between May 2025 and April 2026. The change affects SP-310, SP-326, SP-333, SP-323, and SP-351, covering ten plazas distributed across the northwest and center of the state.
How much do tolls cost in the region now
In the São José do Rio Preto region, the Catiguá toll plaza, on the Washington Luís Highway (SP-310), now charges R$ 19.80 for passenger vehicles — an increase of R$ 0.80. For motorcyclists, the value reached R$ 9.90, with an increase of R$ 0.40. The Araraquara toll plaza, on the same highway, is the most expensive in the concession, with a tariff of R$ 22.80.
At all concession plazas, motorcycles pay exactly half the amount charged for passenger vehicles — a tariff policy that remains even after the readjustment.

What is Free Flow and how does it work at the plazas
Four concession plazas — Dobrada, Taiúva, Jaboticabal, and Itápolis — operate under the Free Flow system, an electronic toll collection method where there are no physical booths. Drivers pass through the plaza without reducing speed, and the amount is automatically debited for those with an active TAG.
For those without a TAG, payment must be made within 30 days after passing, through one of the following channels:
- Official website: pedagiodigital.com
- Ecovias Noroeste Paulista App
- WhatsApp: 0800-326-3663
- In-person totems on SP-326 (Santa Ernestina, Jaboticabal, Pitangueiras, Bebedouro, and Colina)
- In-person totems on SP-333 (Barrinha, Taquaritinga, and Borborema)
Frequent User Discount (DUF): cheaper tolls for those who use the highway every day
In addition to the 5% discount for TAG holders, Ecovias Noroeste Paulista offers the Frequent User Discount (DUF) program, aimed at drivers who regularly travel through the same plazas. The benefit is exclusive to passenger vehicles and requires the use of a TAG.
The discount begins to be applied from the second passage through the same toll, in the same direction, and within the same calendar month. With each new passage, the reduction increases progressively — and from the 30th monthly passage, the minimum value is fixed and maintained until the last day of the month.
To illustrate the possible savings, see the example of the Araraquara plaza, where the full tariff is R$ 22.80:
- On the 10th passage of the month: R$ 8.96
- On the 20th passage of the month: R$ 3.36
- From the 30th passage: R$ 1.26 — savings of over 94% on the full tariff
Therefore, for drivers who use the highway daily — such as workers commuting from home to work — the DUF represents a significant reduction in monthly toll costs.
Why was the readjustment applied now?
The increase in toll tariffs is not an isolated decision by the concessionaire. It is stipulated in the contract signed with the Government of the State of São Paulo and follows objective technical criteria. The index adopted was the IPCA, calculated by the IBGE, which measures inflation variation in Brazil for the final consumer.
The correction considers the accumulated indicator between May 2025 and April 2026, a period that resulted in a percentage of 4.11%. Thus, the readjustment is equivalent to an inflationary recomposition — that is, the values were updated to preserve the purchasing power of the contracts, and not to generate real gains for the concessionaire.
Meanwhile, drivers who do not yet use a TAG can consider joining the system as a way to minimize the impact of the new tariffs, taking advantage of both the immediate 5% discount and the progressive benefits of the DUF program.
