Yaris Cross And The New Generation Of Sedan Arrive With Hybrid And Flex Technology. If You’ve Been Keeping An Eye On The Recent Moves In The Brazilian Automotive Market, You’ve Probably Noticed That New Manufacturers Like BYD And GWM Are Gaining Ground.
But don’t be fooled: Toyota is not resting on its laurels. The Japanese company is preparing to launch the Yaris Cross, a compact SUV built on the TNG platform, the same one used by the Corolla.
Measuring 4.31 meters in length with a trunk capacity of 405 liters, the Yaris Cross comes in with size and readiness to take on rivals like the Hyundai Creta. The design is one of its strong points: the car looks like a “mini RAV4,” and many consider it more attractive than the Corolla itself.
In terms of engine options, the Brazilian Yaris Cross will feature the same hybrid setup already available in other markets, but with the advantage of being flex-fuel. The price? Between R$ 120,000 and R$ 160,000 for the more equipped versions.

Yaris Ative: The Sedan That Promises
Don’t think that Toyota will stop there. In addition to the new Yaris Cross, the manufacturer also has plans for the Yaris Sedan, or Yaris Ative as it is known in the Philippines.
The new model promises to be more spacious and will come with a range of features as complete as its SUV sibling. Just like the Yaris Cross, the new Sedan will also have hybrid and flex-fuel options, making it one of the most fuel-efficient compact sedans on the market.
Electric Future: The Pickup Of Tomorrow
Toyota is not only about SUVs and sedans. The brand surprised everyone with the announcement of a 100% electric pickup.
The vehicle was revealed during the Tokyo Motor Show and promises more than 500 km of range on a single charge. The expectation is that this pickup will hit the Brazilian market in 2025.
In light of the advances of new manufacturers, Toyota is responding appropriately with launches that combine technology, design, and efficiency.
