With an investment of R$ 11 billion in its manufacturing plant in the Sorocaba region, announced last year, Toyota Brazil is confirming job growth projections. According to estimates by SMetal (Union of Metalworkers of Sorocaba and Region), this investment will result in the creation of two thousand positions in Sorocaba and Porto Feliz. The ongoing selection process includes positions such as logistics operators, multifunctional operators, as well as assembly, bodywork, and painting specialists, among other areas, for both the Sorocaba factories and the hybrid system in Porto Feliz.

Economic and Social Impact

The opening of new positions at Toyota not only strengthens the local economy but also has a positive impact on the community. According to automotive industry analyses, each direct position in a manufacturer can trigger the creation of up to seven indirect jobs, boosting the entire productive and service chain. This virtuous cycle of job creation contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in addition to strengthening Toyota’s position as an important player in the Brazilian market.
