Construction Industry, Sector That Was Not Affected by the Pandemic, Performed Well in 2020 and Starts 2021 with Job Openings for Experienced Workers
According to a report, FGV’s research shows that entrepreneurs are optimistic about the first half of the year. 34% reported that they will create more jobs in 2021. Professionals in the field with experience are being sought in the job market.

The construction sector was one of the sectors that hired the most during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since they do not require highly qualified labor, projects in this sector will ensure various job opportunities for economically vulnerable people.
CBIC Economist Ieda Vasconcelos says, “In 2020, what stimulated our sector were factors such as the low interest rate and the increase in mortgage financing. For 2021, we are expecting a growth of about 4% in activity level in GDP. If this occurs, the sector could create more than 200,000 new formal job openings.”
