Investments And Jobs In Portugal: Hilton Expands Its Presence In The Capital Lisbon
Carlos Miró, Managing Director of Development, Spain, and Portugal for Hilton, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s expansion in Lisbon, stating: “Lisbon is an incredibly exciting destination, with ample development opportunities, and our greater presence in the capital is key to growth in the broader Portuguese market.”

The New Hilton Hotels In Lisbon
The three new hotels by Hilton in Lisbon will offer different lodging experiences:
- Canopy by Hilton Lisbon Praça São Paulo: Located in the heart of Lisbon, near the famous Time Out Market, this hotel will offer 84 rooms, a café and bar, meeting space, a fitness center, and parking. The hotel is scheduled to open its doors in 2026 and is the first Canopy by Hilton property in Portugal.
- Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton: Expected to launch in spring 2024, Duo Hotel Lisbon is a fusion of a traditional 19th-century building with a new venture connected by a landscaped courtyard. The hotel features 75 rooms, an all-day restaurant, a café, a bar, and even a pastry shop with local delights. In the evening, the restaurant opens up to the courtyard, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor dining. The hotel is located in a busy area, close to major tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas.
- Hampton by Hilton Lisbon Baixa: Marking the brand’s debut in Lisbon, the Hampton by Hilton Lisbon Baixa is expected to open its doors in 2025. With 157 rooms, modern and stylish design, the property includes a rooftop outdoor pool, a fitness center, and 250 square meters of vibrant open-concept social spaces. This will allow guests to relax and socialize at any time of the day. The central location in Lisbon provides convenient access to the main attractions of the Portuguese capital.
