GTA 6 trailer on PS5 impresses and makes fans dream about the graphic potential of PS5 Pro and PC

With the second trailer entirely captured on a standard PlayStation 5, GTA VI impresses with its visuals and raises questions about what to expect in the PS5 Pro and PC versions

A Rockstar Games surprised the gaming community by releasing the second GTA 6 trailer, even after announcing a delay of the game to May 26, 2026. The video drew attention not only for the revealed plot, but mainly for the graphic quality it delivers — and the most impressive: everything was captured directly on a PS5 pattern.

The new trailer, almost three minutes long, was released just a few days after the company confirm the launch delay.

Rather than further frustrating fans, the strategy appears to have worked the opposite way: it has rekindled enthusiasm.

The visual quality shown in the video is catching the attention of even the most skeptical.

According to Rockstar, the material was recorded entirely on a conventional PS5.

This is not a turbocharged version like the long-awaited PS5 Pro, nor is it a rendering in a development environment.

This is what players can expect when running the game at home on the current model of Sony's console.

What GTA 6 fans thought

The reveal brought a mix of surprise and excitement. The expectation was that Rockstar would save this type of material for closer to the release.

But the studio chose to release the trailer now, and the impact was immediate.

The public's response on social media was mostly positive, with thousands of comments praising the realism of the scenes and the level of detail in the environment.

A PS5 in the trailer

Some parts of the trailer caught even more attention. On top of a table, you can see what appears to be a PS5 DualSense controller.

Near the television, you can see a large white console with blue light strips — a subtle but clear representation of the PlayStation 5 itself.

It's the kind of humor and visual references that Rockstar loves to insert into their games.

What's even more impressive is the thought that all of these visuals were captured without any help from additional features, such as high-level ray tracing via PC or hardware-specific optimizations.

This has led many fans to wonder: if the game already looks like this on the base PS5, what will it be like on a PS5 Pro or a high-end gaming PC?

YouTube video

The question is valid. Sony has yet to officially reveal the PlayStation 5 Pro model, but speculation about the console's existence has been circulating for months.

If released before or together with the GTA VI, the game's graphic potential can be even higher.

In the PC world, the expectation is that the computer version will bring more customization options, mods and superior visual fidelity — as is usually the case with Rockstar titles.

Despite this, the producer has not yet officially mentioned a PC version. For now, GTA VI It is only confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. But tradition indicates that the launch for computers should occur, even if at a later date.

What to expect from the game

Rockstar's decision to show the game running on the PS5 was a wise one. Instead of using artificially rendered trailers or using powerful development machines, the studio decided to show the public what to expect with real images. And the result seems to have worked.

While the new release date — set for May 26, 2026 — may seem far away, the trailer served to keep fans engaged.

More than that, it raised expectations about what could still be revealed. If what we saw was done on a standard PS5, Rockstar may just be beginning to show what this game is really capable of.
