Studies for the creation of this course began in 2019, fueled by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies and the growing demand for qualified professionals. The director of the Jandaia do Sul campus, Professor José Eduardo Padilha, explains that the region needed specific training to meet the rising demand of the technology market.
Currently, only 15 in-person courses in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering are offered in Brazil, positioning UFPR among the few universities training specialists in these highly promising fields.
