UFPR has opened registration for the new undergraduate course in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, starting in 2025 and with 30 places available.
UFPR has just launched a new undergraduate course in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering at the Jandaia do Sul Advanced Campus, scheduled to begin in 2025. The new course promises to shake up the educational and technological market in Brazil.
The new UFPR course was authorized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and will last four and a half years. With a focus on training professionals for a constantly evolving technology market, the undergraduate program will offer courses that cover everything from Artificial Intelligence to software development.

Studies for the creation of this course began in 2019, with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies and the growing demand for qualified professionals. The director of the Jandaia do Sul campus, Professor José Eduardo Padilha, explains that the region needed specific training to meet the growing demand of the technology market.
Currently, only 15 in-person courses in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering are offered in Brazil, which places UFPR as one of the few universities that are training specialists in these promising areas.
