The Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (IFES) has released the announcement for the Selection Process 151/2024 for the free undergraduate course in veterinary medicine, in-person modality. There are 20 vacancies offered, distributed between open competition and affirmative actions, with the start scheduled for the first semester of 2025.

The free course aims to train professionals Highly qualified in the area of ​​veterinary medicine, with a practical and theoretical focus. The degree lasts five years and will be held in person at the Itapina Campus, with up to 40% of the activities offered remotely. The subjects include theoretical classes, laboratories and field practices.

Distribution of vacancies and location of offer

The total of 20 vacancies is divided between open competition and quotas, including categories such as PPI (black, mixed race and indigenous people) and PcD (people with disabilities). The free course is offered exclusively at the Federal Institute, Itapina Campus, located in Colatina, Espírito Santo.

Selection process and selection criteria

Candidates will be selected through a written test in Portuguese. Half of the vacancies are reserved for affirmative action candidates, as per the legislation. The evaluation criteria consider academic performance and, in some cases, proof of self-declaration for quota candidates.

Application requirements

Candidates must have completed high school and have a CPF, valid email address and identity document. In addition, for those who opt for quota vacancies, proof of the declared condition is required. Internet access and an electronic device are also essential to fill out the form.

I think it's ridiculous to trivialize a medical course. You can't study medicine 40 percent remotely, it's obvious that it's not serious or good.
