IFRS Offers More Than 230 Free Positions for Technical Courses Integrated With High School. Registrations for the Selection Process Go Until October 14, 2024. There Are Opportunities in the Areas of Elderly Care, Commerce, and Administration.

Are you looking for a technical training and have not completed high school? The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) has just opened more than 230 vacancies for technical courses in various fields.

This is your chance not only to complete your studies but also to ensure a technical qualification in high demand in the job market. But be careful: registrations have a deadline, and classes will start in the first semester of 2025!

If you are 18 years or older and wish to return to studying, the 2025/1 Selection Process for Students at IFRS, Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality, is open for registration until October 14, 2024.

The process is intended for those who wish to pursue high school integrated with a technical qualification, an excellent opportunity for those seeking professional qualifications. There are 238 positions distributed among three technical courses offered at seven IFRS campuses.

Details About the Offered Courses

The courses are distributed among the areas of elderly care, commerce, and administration, and classes take place in the evening.

Additionally, students receive financial aid for housing and living expenses, aimed at students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, according to criteria established by the institute.

Advantages of EJA Courses at IFRS

There is no cost to participate. The selection will be by lottery among the registered candidates, and classes will begin in the first semester of 2025.

All courses are in-person and have durations ranging from two to three years, depending on the chosen area.

The student, in addition to completing high school, receives a technical qualification, which increases their chances of employability at the end of the course.

According to the IFRS, the selection process aims to assist young people and adults who seek a second opportunity to complete their studies, offering technical training in areas with high market demand.

The combination of high school and technical education increases the chances of entering the job market, as well as providing a more practical learning experience focused on the daily realities of professions.

Technical in Elderly Care – Alvorada Campus

The elderly care course offered at the Alvorada Campus aims to train professionals capable of directly supporting the elderly.

Students learn to assist with the daily activities of the elderly, providing support in health and illness processes and promoting the integration of the elderly with family and society. An essential professional in times of population aging.

Technical in Commerce – Canoas Campus and Restinga Campus

At the Canoas and Restinga campuses, the technical course in commerce trains students to work in administrative roles, managing commercial operations and services.

During the course, students learn from the marketing of products and services to inventory control and communication with suppliers, all with a focus on competitiveness and efficiency in the market.

Technical in Administration – Caxias do Sul, Porto Alegre, Rolante, and Sertão

For those who wish to work in the administrative area, the technical course in administration is offered at four campuses: Caxias do Sul, Porto Alegre, Rolante, and Sertão.

The course prepares students to carry out administrative activities such as document control, file and inventory organization; in addition to working with management systems and performing operational tasks in various areas of administration.

To apply for one of the vacancies, interested parties must visit the site ingresso.ifrs.edu.br by October 14, 2024 and fill out the registration form.

Participation is free, and the selection process will be done by lottery for courses that use this selection criterion. Don’t miss this opportunity to qualify and achieve a new career!
