Geely Xingyuan, The Best-Selling Electric Car In China In January, Reaches Production Of 100,000 Units, But It Will No Longer Be Manufactured
Geely announced that the 100,000th Geome Xingyuan EV rolled off the production line on February 26. The electric vehicle has stood out in the Chinese market and, in January, was the best-selling car in the country, surpassing competitors such as the Wuling Bingo and the BYD Dolphin.
Currently, there are five versions of the Xingyuan EV available for purchase. The price range, with a limited-time discount, varies between 69,800 and 98,800 yuan (approximately 9,600 to 13,600 dollars).
The electric vehicle is manufactured on Geely’s GEA platform and has dimensions of 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

The car’s design features a rounded shape, with a closed front grille and triangular LED headlights. At the rear, the model maintains the same geometric pattern on the mirrors.
Additionally, Geely has opted for distinctive colors inspired by ice cream, such as vanilla rice, green basil, berry pink, and milky white.
Performance And Range
The Geome Xingyuan EV is available with two options for rear electric motors. The base version features a 58 kW (78 hp) motor, while the more powerful variant delivers 85 kW (114 hp).
Both use lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by CATL, with capacities of 30.12 kWh and 40.16 kWh, ensuring CLTC ranges of 310 km and 410 km, respectively.
The vehicle’s top speed is 135 km/h. In the acceleration test, it goes from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The minimum turning radius is 4.95 meters, while the braking distance at 100 km/h is 36.9 meters. In the moose test, the model reached a speed of 75 km/h.
The 1.66 °C fast-charging system allows the battery to go from 30% to 80% in 21 minutes. Additionally, a 10-minute charge can increase the range by up to 120 km.
Technology And Interior Space Of The Vehicle
Inside, the Xingyuan EV features the Flyme Auto system, which manages the car’s functions through a floating central screen of 14.6 inches and an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel.
Voice recognition allows for multimedia control, navigation, air conditioning, and even seat heating.
The interior space is also noteworthy. The front trunk has a capacity of 70 liters, while the rear offers 375 liters, expandable to up to 1,320 liters.
There are also additional storage compartments, such as a 10-liter drawer for the front passenger and a 28-liter space under the rear seats.
In the top-of-the-line version, the model comes with Level 2 driving assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and traffic light recognition.
