Xiaomi 17 Max emerges with a ‘monster’ battery much larger than the iPhone’s, bringing 8,000 mAh, 100W charging, a 200 MP camera, a 6.9-inch 1.5K OLED screen, and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Chinese certification reinforces the advancement of Xiaomi 17 Max, a model expected to feature an 8,000 mAh battery, 100W ultra-fast charging, and premium hardware with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Leaks also point to a 200 MP camera, a 6.9-inch OLED screen, and a focus on autonomy.

The Xiaomi 17 Max appeared in a certification in China with an estimated 8,000 mAh battery and support for 100W fast charging, reinforcing indications that the brand’s new premium phone is in an advanced stage of preparation to reach the Chinese market.

The device was associated with model number 2605EPN8EC, identified in Chinese regulatory records and linked by industry leakers to the Xiaomi 17 Max.

The 3C certification usually anticipates charging and electrical safety details, but it does not equate to an official launch announcement.

The model’s main bet is on autonomy. With 8,000 mAh, the phone would be above the capacity normally seen in high-end smartphones, even compared to recent iPhones.

Still, Apple does not officially disclose the mAh capacity in the iPhone’s technical specifications, which limits direct comparisons based solely on official data.

Xiaomi 17 Max bets on 8,000 mAh battery and 100W charging

The presence of 100W wired charging places the Xiaomi 17 Max among models aimed at users seeking fast charging without sacrificing a larger battery.

Xiaomi 17 Max emerges with an 8,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200 MP camera, and 100W charging.
Xiaomi 17 Max emerges with an 8,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200 MP camera, and 100W charging.

There are also mentions of 50W wireless charging in leaks, but this point has not been officially confirmed by Xiaomi.

The package reinforces a recent trend among Chinese manufacturers, who have started investing in higher capacity batteries without necessarily increasing the size of the devices proportionally.

This strategy has appeared in premium models from brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor.

In the case of the Xiaomi 17 Max, the 8,000 mAh battery would be one of the product’s main commercial differentiators.

The number would also help differentiate the model within the Xiaomi 17 line itself, which already features devices aimed at the premium segment.

6.9-inch OLED screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Leaked specifications indicate that the Xiaomi 17 Max should have a 6.9-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution.

The large panel would position the device among big-screen phones, targeting consumers who use their smartphone for videos, games, reading, and productivity.

The expected processor is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s high-performance platform used in recent premium models.

The preliminary spec sheet also mentions up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.

For connectivity, records and leaks point to support for 5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, and NFC for contactless payments.

IP68 and IP69 certifications are also expected, indicating advanced protection against dust and water, although confirmation depends on the official announcement.

200 MP camera expected to be one of the phone’s highlights

The camera system is another point of attention.

Early information indicates a 200 MP main camera, accompanied by 50 MP sensors for functions such as ultrawide and telemacro or telephoto, depending on the final configuration chosen by Xiaomi.

Although the numbers are striking, sensor resolution alone does not determine photo quality.

Image processing, lens aperture, stabilization, sensor size, and software also directly influence the result.

Xiaomi has not yet published the full technical specifications of the model.

Therefore, information about cameras should be treated as a leak until the company officially confirms the sensors, lenses, and video features.

Android 16, HyperOS, and premium finish appear in leaks

The Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to ship with Android 16 under the HyperOS interface, according to information released so far.

There are also reports that the brand is already working on HyperOS 4, based on Android 17, but this does not mean that the new device will be launched with that version.

Another expected feature is the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a common solution in high-end models for offering fast reading and better performance in different usage conditions.

Like other details, the feature still depends on official confirmation.

Xiaomi is also expected to maintain a metal finish and more robust construction, following the standard of its premium phones.

The combination of a large screen, high battery capacity, and advanced hardware suggests a model aimed at users who prioritize performance and battery life.

When the Xiaomi 17 Max might be launched

The presentation date for the Xiaomi 17 Max remains uncertain.

Recent reports suggest the possibility of an initial announcement in China, but Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the schedule, price, or global availability.

There is also no confirmation regarding its arrival in Brazil.

Even when Xiaomi’s premium models are launched abroad, national availability depends on homologation, commercial strategy, and official distribution channels.

Until the manufacturer’s announcement, the most reliable data are the model number associated with the device and the 100W charging support registered in Chinese certification.

The remaining information, including a 200 MP camera, 6.9-inch screen, 8,000 mAh battery, and memory configuration, remains in the realm of consistent leaks.
