Xiaomi expands home appliance line with electric kettle featuring 316Ti titanium steel, 1,800 W rapid heating, and a system capable of keeping water hot for 24 hours, combining focus on durability, thermal safety, and corrosion resistance in a product designed for daily use.

Xiaomi has put the Mijia Constant Temperature Electric Kettle Titanium Steel Edition on sale in China, a new electric kettle with a capacity of 1.7 liters, a power of 1,800 W, and a price of ¥ 139, equivalent to about R$ 101 in direct conversion, excluding taxes, shipping, or import fees.

The model reinforces the Chinese manufacturer’s presence outside the mobile phone market and bets on a simple proposition: boiling water quickly, maintaining temperature for long periods, and reducing common internal wear in frequently used kettles.

Xiaomi’s electric kettle features 316Ti titanium steel

The product’s main differential is its internal reservoir made with food-grade 316Ti titanium steel, a material chosen to replace 304 stainless steel, which is more common in entry-level and mid-range electric kettles.

According to information released in China, the alloy used by Xiaomi has greater resistance to heat, corrosion, and constant contact with water, which helps preserve the appliance’s interior during prolonged use.

In daily household use, this construction aims to reduce the chance of altering the water’s taste, especially compared to simpler models that may develop a metallic taste after months of intense use.

The interior was also designed as a single piece, without visible seams, to reduce points of residue accumulation and facilitate cleaning.

The top opening is 13.5 cm, a measurement that facilitates access to the reservoir during maintenance.

Technology keeps water hot for up to 24 hours

The Mijia line electric kettle keeps water at 55 °C for up to 24 hours, a feature aimed at those who consume warm water, tea, or other hot beverages throughout the day.

The constant temperature mode is activated by a button on the appliance’s base.

From then on, the system conserves the heated liquid without requiring new complete boiling cycles.

The aim is to prevent the user from needing to boil water multiple times a day, which is common in homes where hot beverage consumption is frequent.

Even so, the manufacturer did not disclose a detailed estimate of electricity consumption in this mode.

1,800 W power and 1.7-liter capacity

With 1,800 W, the heating base was developed to accelerate boiling and distribute heat uniformly.

Xiaomi states that the system uses circular heating, a common solution in newer electric kettles.

The 1.7-liter capacity meets daily household use and can yield approximately eight cups per cycle, depending on the size of the container used.

This volume places the product in a very common range among family electric kettles, but the internal material and thermal conservation mode are the points used by the brand to differentiate the launch.

Thermal safety and automatic shutdown

In addition to the internal construction, Xiaomi included an external structure with a double insulation layer.

The solution aims to keep the exterior safer to touch even when the water is at high temperature.

The lid also features a two-stage gradual opening, a feature designed to release steam more controllably and reduce the risk of sudden contact with hot air when opening the appliance.

The set also includes a thermostat subjected to over 10,000 durability tests, according to data released in China.

This component manages functions such as automatic shutdown in case of overheating and protection against dry boiling.

Xiaomi expands presence in the home appliance market

Mijia brings together home appliances, smart devices, and everyday products within the Xiaomi ecosystem.

The brand already appears in categories such as air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, fans, lamps, electric pots, and other connected items.

With the new kettle, the company maintains its strategy of bringing thermal control features and more resistant materials to basic household products, without relying solely on smartphones and mobile accessories to expand its catalog.

In the case of the Titanium Steel Edition, the focus is less on advanced connectivity and more on durability, safety, and convenience in preparing hot water for daily use.

Price and availability of Xiaomi’s electric kettle

The Mijia Constant Temperature Electric Kettle Titanium Steel Edition was initially announced for the Chinese market and appeared on the Youpin platform, a channel used by Xiaomi to sell its own products and items from its ecosystem.

The price of ¥ 139 makes the model competitive within the local market, but a direct conversion to Brazilian Reals does not represent a potential final value in Brazil.

In an import, the cost can increase with taxes, resale margin, international shipping, and exchange rate variation.

So far, there is no official confirmation of a global launch for the kettle. No reliable forecast for its arrival in Brazil through official Xiaomi channels has been found either.
