Xiaomi Launches A Modern Digital Walkie-Talkie With Color Screen, Range Of Up To 5 Km And A 100-Hour Battery Life. Water And Dust Resistant, It Combines Nostalgia And Innovation For Civilian And Professional Use
The Chinese giant Xiaomi, recognized for its strength in the global smartphone market, surprised everyone by launching a device that mixes nostalgia and modern technology: a digital walkie-talkie with a compact design, color screen, and a battery life of over 100 hours.
A Military Technology That Lives On
The first walkie-talkies emerged in 1940, created for military use by the company that would later become Motorola. Over time, they transitioned to civilian use, becoming icons of the 1980s.
Even with the popularization of mobile phones, this technology has never disappeared and continues to be used by police, firefighters, and armed forces all over the world.

Xiaomi, the third largest mobile phone manufacturer globally, decided to modernize this classic with a model that preserves the essence of the original design, but with advanced digital features.

Classic Design With Smart Features
The Xiaomi Digital Walkie-Talkie maintains the “candy bar” shape with a protected antenna, but is much thinner than traditional devices.
It features a 1.57-inch color LED screen (320 x 200 pixels) that displays contact information, settings, and notifications. It also has IP54 certification, making it resistant to dust and water splashes, ideal for outdoor use.
The device can be managed through the Xiaomi Intercom app, which allows you to configure contacts and even view the relative position of the person you are communicating with.
Moreover, it is compatible with Bluetooth headsets and has an integrated 36 mm speaker, ensuring clear calls even in noisy environments.

Range Of 5 Km And Up To 100 Hours Of Battery
Xiaomi utilized FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access) technology to enhance communication clarity, providing high-definition audio and reducing interference.
The range reaches up to 5 kilometers in open areas or covers spaces of up to 10,000 m², such as shopping malls or industrial complexes.
The battery is another highlight: with a 2,500 mAh capacity, the walkie-talkie guarantees up to 100 hours on standby or about 14 hours of continuous use.
Charging is done via USB-C, and the device can be used while charging, an important advantage for long journeys or intensive operations.
