Ceará Government Announces 2,600 Vacancies for the Military Police, Civil Police, Penal Police, and Fire Department: Notices Expected This Year
Attention, Ceará! Governor Elmano de Freitas revealed the creation of 2,600 vacancies to strengthen public safety, covering the forces of the Military Police, Civil Police, Penal Police, and Fire Department. The announcement was made on August 26, during the launch of the “Ceará Against Crime” program.
According to the governor, the hiring of the organizing body will take place in the coming weeks, enabling the launch of the notice.
“The first action is to conduct public competitions for all security forces in Ceará. We aim to increase our workforce by 6,730 professionals. In the coming weeks, we will authorize the hiring of the organizing company so that we can launch the notices for the Military Police, Civil Police, Fire Department, and Penal Police immediately. In the case of Forensic Examination and Penal Police, we will take advantage of the already conducted competition,” declared the governor.

The Distribution of Vacancies in Ceará Will Be as Follows:
Military Police: 1,000 vacancies;
Civil Police: 500 vacancies;
Fire Department: 500 vacancies;
Penal Police: 600 vacancies (the notice is already in progress).
The Last Competition of the Military Police of CE Was in 2022
The Military Police of Ceará still has an ongoing competition, held in 2022. At that time, 1,500 vacancies were offered for soldiers. Candidates were required to have completed high school, be between 18 and 29 years old, and present a National Driver’s License. The starting salary for the position is R$ 4,983.30.
Firefighters of Ceará Have Gone Over a Decade Without a Competition
On the other hand, the Fire Department of Ceará has not held a competition since 2013. At that time, 300 vacancies were offered, with 270 for soldiers and 30 for officers. The requirements included a completed higher education, age between 18 and 30 years, and a driver’s license.
Approved candidates received remuneration of R$ 2,638.61 for soldiers and R$ 4,121.78 for officers.
